Summer Sessions

In response to the call for proposals many artists submitted a video in which they proposed a project for the Summer Sessions 2013.

  • Habitáculos Orgánicos at Centre Pompidou

    The exhibition 'LA FABRIQUE DU VIVANT' at Centre Pompidou includes the work "Habitáculos Orgánicos" that was developed by Gabriela Munguía during the Summer Sessions of 2015 in a co-production of UNTREF - Maestría en Artes Electrónicas and V2_. The exhibtion runs from 20 February 2019 till 15 April 2019.

  • E-book of The Iron Ring by Cecilia Jonsson

    In 2013 Cecilia Jonsson developed the art project 'The Iron Ring', supported in a Summer Session by PNEK and hosted and co-produced by V2_. After the Summer Session residency, V2_ supported the publication of an e-book about this project. With an extensive visual essay reporting on the seven chronological steps that were required to create an iron ring out of 24kg of grass harvested from the acidic river banks of a landscape in Spain severely transformed by opencast mining, and a text discussing the project from an environmental-philosophical perspective.

  • Exhibition Sun Tracing by Johannes Langkamp

    Since first developing his work "Analog Sun Tracking" in a Summer Session in 2013 at Chronus Art Center in Shanghai, Johannes Langkamp has made several iterations of it. In January / February 2019 this collection of works was exhibited in his first solo show in Rotterdam. The exhibition embodies the artist’s longtime fascination with our perception of celestial bodies and the methods and devices developed to capture them. For this exhibition, Langkamps interest concerns the sun in particular.
